The beach Overåsanden at Hjørungavåg (south of Ålesund). It's a bit early in the season for bathing, and it's in the middle of the week, but a few small kids are bathing anyway. This is assumed to be the site where the sea battle of Hjørungavåg took place in the year 986. One thousand years later this monument was raised here. |
