The Munkholmen beach. A breakwater extends across the shoals east of Munkholmen. The beach makes the place attractive for families with small children. There are also other places suitable for bathing by adults. Mainly citizens of Trondheim come here for bathing and sunning. Many tourist also come, but for a guided tour through the fortress and old prison, and for visiting the souvenir shop etc. |
