The Grenland Bridge across Frierfjorden is 608 meters long, the main span 305 meters 50 meters above the sea and the height of the tower is 166 meters. When opened in 1996 it replaced the Brevik Bridge from 1962 for the main road (E18). This picture is taken from the Brevik side of the Brevik Bridge, a Russian freighter heads for a Grenland industry area (actually, it's zigzagging, coastal pilot onboard). |
