'The Lapwing'. This sculpture was only sketched by Fritz Røed, and Skule Waksvik made it after his friend's death. The lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) is a typical bird in Jæren (but not among the ducks). The coat of arms of the district Time also depicts the lapwing. Bryne lies in Time, housing half its population. |
