Eide, Sunnmøre, at the road Eidsdal–Geiranger, view towards Geiranger. As you have probably guessed, this is the old bridge. The lake is called Eidsvatnet and the mountain is Eidshornet. And all these instances of "eid"; in English "isthmus" or "neck of land" may be the closest phrase, but the strip of land doesn't have to be narrow; it often means (or meant) a common route of travel between two bodies of water.
