Here the 1997 World Championship of Nordic Skiing took place. This is the 1997 championship's logo, derived from the  Selbu Rose , a common motif on Norwegian (sports) knitwear. Selbu is a district about 60 kilometers southeast of Trondheim (we usually go through  Hell  to get there).
