The Nordberg church seen from the east, the main entrance being on the opposite side. It stands up the valley from the centre of Skjåk, near the main road. (Strangely, in this district "up the valley" is always called "north", but in this case it actually is west.) The church was built in 1864 from notched timber which is regularly impregnated with tar.

"Kyrkje" is dialect/nynorsk and means church. In (Danish-)Norwegian (called "bokmål") it is "kirke".
The handmade lock on the inside of the gate. On the outside there is an immense key that cannot be removed (i.e. stolen).
