Ranem stone church in the valley Namdalen, Nord-Trøndelag. Namdalen is characterized by large spruce forest and the salmon river Namsen that flows tardily past 70 meters from the church and 25 kilometres eastwards to salt waters at Namsos. This beautiful church was built in 1187 from granite and marble from local stone quarries. The altarpiece from 1678 is said to be very beautiful; it was saved from a fire in the church in 1899. This a well kept church.
