A street in Mandal, the southmost town in Norway, with less than ten thousand inhabitants. Please notice the traditional Sørlandet colours: White house with blue front door. In the old days blue paint was the most expensive, therefore blue entrance doors.

The Sjøsand beach at Mandal starts where the town ends and is eight hundred metres long. Behind the camera there are several smaller beaches.

Behind the beach Sjøsand at Mandal lies the natural park Furulunden (furu = pine). The park covers about 1.3 square kilometres. In the park there is a camping site, close to the beach.
