Rowan tree (or European Mountain Ash) (Sorbus aucuparia). In ancient times people in this part of the World planted a tuntre (farm yard tree) where the old farm owner was buried and made sacrifices to the tree. Farm owners have for nearly a thousand years been buried elsewhere, but the custom of planting this tree has persisted.
Let me add two things: (1) This is my birtplace, a long time ago. (2) This rowan tree was planted by my grandfather some time before 1920. I have never seen it carry that much berries. In the following years it didn't look well and seven years later a storm made it tip over.
